Hugo Wendt
Hugo Wendt, 88, of Herington, died Jan. 14, 2005, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Born Feb. 7, 1916, at Latimer, he was the son of August and Amelia (Schlesener) Wendt.
On May 7, 1939, he married Naomi M. Riffel.
A plumber, he had lived in Herington most of his life, moving to Sterling House in Abilene a few years ago.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; two sons, Roger Wendt of Herington and Rick Wendt of Leon; two daughters, Phyllis Makovic of LaQuinta, Calif., and Pam Holt of Plano, Texas; two brothers; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
A memorial fund has been established with the Parkinson's Foundation.
