Ivan Clark
Ivan L. Clark, 85, of Burns, died Feb. 15, 2007, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
Born Sept. 11, 1921, near Florence, he was the son of George and Ida (Roberts) Clark.
On Feb. 14, 1942, he married Marie Ehmke at Newton.
He was a farmer and rancher, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Summit Methodist Church, Burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of Burns; four daughters, Diane Nelson of Cassoday, Gloria Handle of Baxter Springs, and Jennifer Stucky and Peggy van der Weg, both of Newton; a son, Mack Clark of rural Peabody; two brothers, Wilbur "Bill" Clark and Gordon "Sonny" Clark, both of El Dorado; five sisters, Maude Gaines and Margaret Matz, both of Peabody; Norma Riggs of Marion; Joyce Barker of Wichita; and Sherol Nightengale of Burns; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Burns United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Hyson and Pastor Jim Bush officiating.
Burial was in Summit Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Ronald McDonald House or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
