James Jip Brunner

James M. "Jip" Brunner, 68, died Jan. 13, 2006, at his home at Ramona.

Born Jan. 27, 1937, at Ramona, he was the son of Solomon and Hanna (Longhofer) Brunner.

He served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s.

He was a heavy equipment operator and member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oren Lloyd Brunner and Irvin Brunner.

Survivors include two sons, Jayme Brunner of Ramona and Joey Brunner of Pilsen; one brother, Omer Brunner of Owasso, Okla.; three sisters, Neva Applegate of Weslaco, Texas, Joan Gillett of Casper, Wyo., and Karen Mowat of Marion; and five grandchildren.

An inurnment service was held Jan. 18 at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona, with the Rev. Eugene Hicks officiating.

A memorial fund has been established with Ramona City Park.
