Janet Keazer

Janet Keazer, 86, of Marion, died Dec. 7, 2007.

Born Oct. 6, 1921, at Hillsboro, she was the youngest child of George and Marie (Moehlman) Thye.

After graduation from Marion High School, she worked as a secretary for the Marion County Extension Office.

In February 1942, she married Harold Keazer at Enid, Okla. The couple lived at Wichita and when Harold enlisted in the U.S. Air Corps in 1942, they were stationed in San Antonio and Amarillo, Texas.

They returned to Marion in 1945, where they have been lifelong residents. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Magee and later became director of Hilltop Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband Harold of Marion; two sons and wives, Jim and Melody Keazer of Rogers, Ark., and Doug and Luci Keazer of West Lafayette, Ind.; daughter, Jeanne Keazer of Concordia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Eastmoor United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Eurit officiating.

Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society or Golden Living Center.
