JoAnn Hicks
JoAnn R. Hicks, 52, of Marion, died June 23, 2005, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
Born Oct. 30, 1952, at Marion, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klose.
On Dec. 30, 1971, she married Earl Hicks at Peabody.
She was a lifelong resident of Marion County and worked as an LPN at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Duane, who died in January.
Survivors include her husband, Earl of Marion; stepson, Justin McIntosh of Hillsboro; two daughters, Crystal Hicks and Sunshine Hicks, both of Marion; stepdaughter, Abby McIntosh of Hillsboro; parents, Albert and Jeri Klose of Hillsboro; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Memorial Park, Hillsboro, with Larry King and Highside, chaplain of the Sons of Silence officiating.
Memorial funds have been established with HCMC Long Term Care or Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University.
