Joseph Steiner

Joseph Raymond Steiner, 82, died June 10, 2005, at his home in Tulsa, Okla.

Born May 4, 1923, at Pilsen, he was the son of Anton and Petronella (Vinduska) Steiner.

He attended Pilsen Grade School and Lincolnville High School, graduating in 1942.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Later he worked for Boeing at Wichita.

In 1944, he married Naomi Grimm at St. Mary's Cathedral, Wichita.

In 1955, the couple moved to Tulsa, Okla., where he went to work for Foxboro Instruments, retiring in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, Ernest, William, and Thomas.

Survivors include 11 children, Richard, Daniel, Sally Lane, Joseph II, Thomas, Stephen, Mary Myers, Susan Lowen, Jonathan, Paul, and Patrick; three brothers, George, Marcel, and Donald, all of Wichita; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The rosary was recited June 15.

The funeral Mass was said June 16 at Church of St. Mary, Tulsa, Okla., where Joseph was a member since 1957.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Okla.
