Rachel Waner

Rachel Waner of Waunakee, Wis., recently had a research project selected for publication in the quarterly edition of the "Whitman Journal of Psychology." The journal is a widely read and highly regarded forum for research by high school psychology students.

Her paper was entitled, "The Role of Clothing in the Perception of Personality." Her work involved a survey of background readings and research relating to the topic from other well-known psychologists. She designed and conducted an experiment that investigated her hypothesis and conformed to American Psychological Association standards for research design and publication.

Waner is the daughter of Julie and Leo Waner of Waunakee, Wis., and the granddaughter of George and Pasty Waner of Marion. She will attend UW-Madison in the fall and major in journalism.
