Juanita Mae Ayers
Jaunita Mae Ayers, 86, died Aug. 23, 2007, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
Born May 15, 1921, at St. Joseph, Mo., she was the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Swartz) Willis.
A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she also resided at Marion County Lake and Nickerson. She was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist church at Nickerson.
On Sept. 1, 1938, she married Verne Ayers at Great Bend. He died in 2006.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Haen and June Massey; granddaughter, Gail Bugner; and great-grandson, Russell Griffin.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Ayers of Cedar City, Utah; three daughters, Janice Piatt of Nickerson, Judith Bechtold of Andover, and Jeanette Bauer of Plano, Texas; brother, Ed Willis of Buhler; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Monday morning at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Ron Lowry officiating.
Memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
