Julie Ecker to participate in endurance cycling event for charity
Julie Ecker of Wichita will participate June 4 in the "World's Most Beautiful Ride," an endurance cycling event around scenic Lake Tahoe.
She is part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program. Team In Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program.
She is soliciting pledges in hopes of raising $2,700 for the Leukemia Society. The money she raises will stay in Kansas and helps patients and their families with the financial burden of the debilitating disease.
Ecker participated in November in a 109-mile endurance cycling event, "El Tour de Tucson Century Ride."
