K. Harden, J. Whiteman married in Ashland church

Kimberly Danae Harden and Jess Ryan Whiteman were united in marriage Nov. 24, 2007, at Ashland United Methodist Church.

Pastor Joshua Wesner of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Marion, and the Rev. Don Hasty of Ashley, officiated at the four o'clock ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Gail and Louise Whiteman of Marion and Paul and Linda Harden of Ashland.

Tapers were lighted by the groom's cousins, Natalie Hett of Marion and Shawna Johnson of Kansas City.

Musical selections were provided by the bride's cousins, Matthew Cleveland of Sterling, Texas, on the trumpet and accompanied by Crystal Behnke of Bushton. Soloist was JoAnna Harden of Ashland.

The bride wore a strapless antique A-line gown with beaded gold-colored lace and a chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil was adorned with antique applique. She carried a bouquet of white lilies.

Cindy Denning of Hillsboro was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister-in-law, Mandy Harden of Wichita, Elizabeth Splitter, also of Wichita, and Bethany Carlson of Marion.

They wore ankle-length chocolate-colored gowns and carried a bouquet of snapdragons.

Jarvis Whiteman of Marion served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother, Justin Whiteman of Wichita, Heath Tajchman of Emporia, and Dave Tharp of Marion.

Flower girls, Emersyn Jo Harden and Cora Maree Denning, were pulled in a decorated wagon by the ring bearer, Levi Harden.

Guests were seated by the groom's cousins, Neil Hett and Jared Hett, both of Marion, the bride's brother, Shane Harden of Wichita, and the bride's brother-in-law, Jon Denning of Hillsboro.

Emma Tajchman of Emporia attended the guest book.

Laura Baldwin of Marion was the wedding coordinator.

A reception was held at the Veterans Building.

After a wedding trip to the Florida Keys, the couple lives in rural Marion.
