Kaitlin Loney finishes successful soccer season
Kaitlin Loney, daughter of Lori and Patrick Loney of Wichita, recently completed her junior soccer season with Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School.
She is a three-year starting varsity goal keeper and finished the season with a 19-2 record, allowing only 10 goals the entire season. Kapaun's team was undefeated champion of the Greater Wichita Athletic League, Champions of the North Cup Tournament, third place finishers of the Titan Classic Tournament, 5-1A South/West Kansas Regional Champions, and finished third in the 5-1A state playoffs for the second consecutive year.
In addition to her team accomplishments, Loney was named first team All-City and second team All-Region. This is the third consecutive year Loney has received post-season recognition and honors.
She is the granddaughter of Rosalie and Charles Schmidtberger of Marion, Leona Loney of Lawrence, and the late James Loney.
