Kenneth and Anita Sly to observe 50th anniversary years ago

Kenneth and Anita Sly of Salina will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 13 with an open house for friends and relatives. The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at First Christian Church, 2727 E. Crawford, Salina.

Anita Collett and Kenneth Sly were married Aug. 13, 1955, in the EUB parsonage at Marion.

Kenneth retired in 1987, after 30 years as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. Anita retired in 1997, after 16 years with the USD 305 Instructional Media Center, Salina.

The open house is hosted by their children, Hollyce and Dan Morris of Topeka, Kurt (K.D.) and Vicki Sly and Colleen Sly of Salina, Justin and Susan Sly of Belleville, and Ernestine Sly of Plainville, and 10 grandchildren.

The couple requests no gifts.
