Kimberly L. Pitts

Kimberly Lynn Pitts, 37, died Jan. 24, 2006, at her home in Palmer, Alaska.

Born June 9, 1969, at Topeka, she was the daughter of Ralph L. and Mary Jane (Reppart) Pitts III.

She was a graduate of White City High School and Wichita State University. She joined the U.S. Army Reserves, serving from 1993 to 2005, when she joined the U.S. Public Health Service and moved to Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Pitts in 2003.

Survivors include her father, Ralph L. Pitts III of White City; two brothers, Shawn Pitts of Fort Collins, Colo., and J.J. Pitts of Nortonville; sister, Jayme Urban of Salina; godparents, Steve and Donna Kristek of Lincolnville; a nephew; and five nieces.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at White City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Pollom and the Rev. Norman Simmons officiating.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Kim Pitts Fund for military children and their families in need.
