KVC benefit planned for July 16 years ago

The public is invited to attend the third annual KVC Motorcycle Ride for Kids July 16 at Central Park, Marion.

The event will be sponsored by Custom Truck & Equipment Co., Inc. of Salina, and will feature a poker run, barbecue lunch, and a drawing for prizes.

For $25, participants may participate in the poker run, receive a meal, embroidered patch.

An extra poker hand or meal will be $5 each. A meal for those under 12 years of age will be $2.50.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the last cycle out at 11 a.m. Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tickets for the drawings are $10 each and are available at Marion Chamber of Commerce, 203 N. Third, Marion; Klose and Kozy, 117 S. Main, Hillsboro; and from foster parents Tammy Whiteside, (620) 983-2074 and Mary Johnson, (620) 983-2693, Peabody.

Tickets also will be available during the morning of the ride. The drawings will be held at 2 p.m.

Prizes include art work from Trace of Copper valued at $400, $500 cash from State Farm Insurance, a Kansas Speedway gift package, tickets to Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun, and Kansas City Royals weekend getaway.

KVC Behavioral HealthCare is a private, not-for-profit agency that serves Marion County and provides medical and behavioral health care, social services, and education to abused, neglected, and abandoned children and their families.

Proceeds from the ride will benefit children and families served by KVC.
