Laurin featured in magazine
The July 15, 2006, issue of Drovers, a business magazine for cattle ranchers, featured veterinarian Jessica Laurin, owner of Animal Health Center in Marion.
The article, "Communication Helps Build Trust," focused on Laurin's attempt to introduce animal ID to cattlemen in a simple, low-tech way.
The clinic prints ear tags with identifying numbers which are placed into the ears of calves when they are brought in for processing.
The ID numbers are put into the business computer and a producer validation form is filed.
Laurin also was cited for her work in creating customized preventive care programs for stockmen, and her promotion of beef quality assurance procedures.
