Lavina Charlene Hoffman Smith

Lavina Charlene Hoffman Smith, 64, died March 16, 2006, at Queen Anne Healthcare, Seattle, Wash.

She was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Marion County to Earl and Alvina Hoffman.

She began taking piano lessons at age four and was an accomplished church pianist and accompanist for music groups. She was valedictorian of Marion High School class of 1959.

She married Roger McLoud in 1959 and lived in Huntsville, Ark. They later divorced. She then married Angelo Rinaldi and the couple resided in Mexico City until his death. She married Ron Smith of Anchorage, Alaska, and later divorced.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Leonard Earl Hoffman.

She was survived by two sons, Angelo Rinaldi Jr., Willagee, Western Australia, and Leonardo Rinaldi, Glen Ridge, N.J.; four daughters, Robin McLoud Denlinger, Cooksville, Tenn., Becky McLoud, London, England, Carla Rinaldi, Columbus, Ohio, and Jennifer Smith, Wasilla, Alaska; a brothers, LaVern Hoffman, Ventura, Calif., and four grandchildren.

She was cremated.

Inurnment will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in Grant Township Cemetery.
