Leon Hajek
Leon Hajek, 79, died Aug. 7, 2004, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
Born Jan. 13, 1925, near Ramona in Marion County, he was the son of Raymond and Rosie (Vinduska) Hajek.
A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of the Tampa community and a member of St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hajek; and a sister, Pauline Hajek.
Survivors include two sisters, Loretta Blanchat of Wichita and Mildred Feik of Las Animas, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen, with Father Steve Gronert as celebrant. The rosary was recited preceding the Mass.
Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita.
