Some days you just have to wonder if anyone really gives a damn. Are there folks out there who care about local issues?
Does anyone care that Marion has lost two restaurants in the past few months?
What about county roads? That seems to be a hot topic for rural residents.
School funding? Yep, that may affect people in Marion — especially our children.
A story in this week's issue reports the city has agreed to continue funding for the Marion REC program through 2006. Then what? Does anyone care about what will happen then?
How do you feel about a new jail? Marion County Commission has agreed to begin a feasibility study for the possibility of a new jail facility. Are you for it? Against it?
Letters to the editor are a good way to express opinions. Letter writers won't be lambasted for their views. We just wonder what, if anything, people are thinking about the state of affairs in Marion. Do you care?
