Local nurse is published
Marlene Obermeyer of rural Marion, recently had an article published in the June issue of Nursing 2006.
The article, "How to be a culturally competent preceptor" is a practical guide for helping international nurses adapt to the culture and practice of nursing in North America.
Obermeyer, originally from the Philippines, is an independent continuing education provider.
NCKTC releases honor roll
Three area students earned honorable mention honors for the 2006 spring semester at North Central Kansas Technical College, Beloit.
They were: Wilbert Bartel and Cody Pankratz both of Hillsboro, agricultural equipment technician II; and Paul Helmer, Marion, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.
