Lois Harding

Lois Harding, 49, of Diamond Springs, died July 12, 2004, at Newman Memorial Hospital, Emporia.

Born Aug. 21, 1954, at Council Grove, she was the daughter of Wayne and Mary Lou (Mickey) Miser.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at Council Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Shirley Edgerton officiating.

Burial was in Diamond Springs Cemetery.

She was a dispatcher for the Morris County Sheriff's Department until her health began to fail. She was a member of Council Grove United Methodist Church and 4-H leader for the Burdick Hustlers. She enjoyed sewing for her boys and was an avid NASCAR fan.

On Oct. 16, 1988, she married Kelsey Harding on her parents' farm at Diamond Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Kelsey; three sons, Konley, Kordell, and Kendall; four brothers, Vernon Miser and Gary Miser, both of Emporia, Merlin Miser of Diamond Springs, and Eldon Miser of Wilsey; three sisters, twins Louise Lemon of Lebo and Louene Bacon of Topeka, and Lou Ann Schrader of Olathe.

The Harding Boys Trust Fund at Farmers & Drovers Bank in Council Grove has been established.
