Irma Reznicek hosted a birthday party Dec. 22 in honor of her son, Bob. Guests were John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Bob and Carol Makovec, Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro, and Ralph and Betty Stroda of Herington. Cake and ice cream were served.

Adella Katz and son, Steve and Birame and Barbie Ndao of Lawrence were Christmas Eve guests of Charles and Lori Smithhart. They opened their gifts. Birame and Barbie stayed overnight with Charles and Lori. Adella and Steve went home.

Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeannetta Hanschu to Hillsboro Christmas Eve. They went to watch Jakob and Jorge Hanschu in a Christmas program at Zion Lutheran Church. Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom also went to the program. Afterward, they gathered at the home of Jayson and Jan Hanschu. Their son, Jaxxon also was there.

Christmas Eve supper guests of Mary Helen Black, Micky and Laura of Herington were Larry Rudolph and Mike Williams of Herington.

Irma Reznicek and Bob entertained with a Christmas Eve supper. Guests were John and Helen Reznicek of Marion; Bob and Carol Makovec, Darren and Amy Makovec, Dona, Elle, and Shelby, Justin Makovec and friend Jennifer and daughter Adison, Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison, Mark Makovec, Chanell and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Taylor and Madison, all of Herington; Jennifer Makovec of Salina; Mike and Angie Stika, Macayla, Alex, Miranda, and Aaron of Burdick; Jason Stika and Dalton of Lincolnville; Ken Reznicek, Sara, Kory, and Nicholas of Burlington; Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro; Josie Loewen of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and John and Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew of Derby. After supper, John and Lori Torline and family, Ken Reznicek and children, Irma, and Bob went to Mass. John and Lori Torline and family were overnight guests.

Christmas Day guests of Adella Katz and Steve were Selma Ingram, Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia, Charles and Lori Smithhart, and Birome and Barbie Ndao.

Christmas Eve guests of Alex and Jean Stuchlik were Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik and family of Pilsen, Christopher and Melissa Stuchlik and sons of Lincolnville. Christmas Day guests at the Alex Stuchlik home were the Gary Stuchlik family and Robert and Debbie Burns and family of Wichita.

Christmas Eve guests of Bernie and Janice Waner and family were Ronnie and Leona Hajek, Mildred Hajek, Brett Hajek, and Darren and Trent Hajek.

John and Helen Reznicek of Marion hosted a dinner Christmas Day for Irma Reznicek, Bob and Carol Makovec, Charles and Mary Loewen, and Josie Loewen.

Christmas Day dinner guests of Mike and Karen Walsh and Renee were Connie Hastings of El Dorado, Micky and Lance Black of Herington, and Larry Rudolph.

The Stuchlik and Beisel families gathered Christmas Day at the Scout House at Hillsboro for a potluck dinner. There were 100 or so relatives there for the celebration. The elders visited while the children played outside.

Irene Waylan of Miami, Okla., visited her mother, Mildred Hajek, from Christmas Day until Wednesday morning. Others who visited Mildred on Christmas Day were Paul and Raelene Hajek, Donna Hajek, Kim Helmer and children, and Gary and Vicki Hajek and their children and grandchildren.

Lowell Strecker and sons, Tony and Michael of San Antonio, Texas, were guests of Evelyn Strecker from Dec. 23-27.

We visited uncle Emil Pospisil Sunday afternoon at Golden Living Center, Marion. He received several Christmas cards and gifts for Christmas.

On Christmas Day, Evelyn Strecker entertained with a dinner, supper, and gift exchange for Douglas and Marsha Strecker and Matthew and Sonja Strecker, all of Hesston; Yancy and Julie Strecker and Gabriel of Newton; Lowell Strecker, Tony and Michael of San Antonio, Texas; Clark and Laura Strecker, Austin and Tailor of Rose Hill; and Wayne and Marieta Schwartzman of Park City. After dinner, we had a program. Yancy played his guitar and we had a sing-along.

Mark and Roberta Stuchlik, Justin and Joshua of Edmund, Okla., were guests of Frances Stuchlik on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Shirley Dix of Herington told me her mother, Leah Cheever, fell backward and received a large knot on the back of her head and was in the Salina hospital.

Lowell Strecker, Tony and Michael and Evelyn Strecker were Tuesday dinner guests of Douglas and Marsha Strecker and Matthew.

Candice Toade and her dad, Monty Stuchlik, visited Frances Stuchlik on Christmas Eve.
