Fred and Marguerite Utech and Leola Neuschaffer of Hope accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Salina Jan. 28 where they attended a pancake feed at Trinity Lutheran Church. After the feed, they went to Neil and Jolene Albrecht's home where they celebrated Jan Hanschu's 40th, Jolene's 34th, and Junior's 70th birthdays. While they were taking pictures they caught Junior changing the candles on his cake from 70 to 07. Others who helped them celebrate their birthdays were Jayson Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxson of Hillsboro, Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, and Kelly and Morgan Albrecht of Salina. Jan, Jolene, and Junior opened their gifts, then ate the three cakes and ice cream.

Monty and Sarah Stuchlik hosted a dinner Jan. 27. Guests were Candice Toade of Wichita, Dan and Melissa Stuchlik, Tanner and Allie, Ross and Megan Stuchlik, and Frances Stuchlik. They watched the movie, "Dr. Zhivago," after dinner.

Oaklan Jenkins was a Saturday and Sunday guest of Shelby Miller.

Tom Reznicek of Lawrence helped Bob with work and visited mom, Irma Reznicek Saturday.

Christopher and Melissa Stuchlik and Quinton held a party Jan. 28 for their son, Charles' birthday. Guests were Alex and Jean Stuchlik and Walter and Iona Dietrich. Charles opened his gifts and they had ice cream and cake.

Marcel and Irma Benda and William, Alex and Jean Stuchlik, Frances Stuchlik, Monty and Sarah Stuchlik, and Bob and Irma Reznicek went Jan. 28 to the benefit soup dinner in honor of Larry and Marsha Bina at the Pilsen community center.

Adella Katz served homemade chicken and noodle soup Jan. 28 to her son, Steve Katz and two friends, Selma Ingram, and Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia.

Larry Rudolph fed my cattle, broke ice in the tank, and brought my mail to the house Jan. 30. Then he went to Herington to get some groceries for himself and me.

Kenneth Reznicek of Burlington visited his mother, Irma, Jan. 28.

Steve Katz, two friends, and Selma Ingram joined Adella Katz at her home to watch the KU-Nebraska basketball game.

Gary and Vicki Hajek visited their mother, Mildred Hajek Jan. 30. Her son, Jerome Hajek of Marion visited her one day this past week. Mildred said she does a lot of reading.

Gregory Stenzel took his daughter, Nikki to Centre High School Wednesday morning then stopped to visit his mother, Betty Stenzel at Ramona.
