Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were overnight guests Feb. 9 of their grandmother, Selma Ingram.

Larry Rudolph called on his sister, Karen and Mike Walsh, Feb. 9.

Junior Hanschu drove to Marion Feb. 9 to attend John Deere Day and the luncheon.

I accompanied Reign and Marlene Anduss to Hesston Feb. 11 to help Matthew Jarroll and Douglas Strecker celebrate their birthdays. Other guests were Marsha Strecker, Clark Strecker of Rose Hill, Sonja Strecker, Christopher and Jeri Strecker, Autumn and Junior of Hesston, Amber and Madison, Roxanne, Kristie, and Cadence, Yancy and Julie Strecker and Gabriel, all of Newton. Douglas and Matthew opened gifts and we all enjoyed cake and ice cream.

Larry Rudolph visited Micky Black in Herington Feb. 10.

Bob Reznicek had supper Feb. 11 with his sister, Carol and Bob Makovec.

It is cold and we had another inch or two of snow Tuesday. Monday it rained. My yard is like a lake. One has to be careful when one walks outside. Wind chill is below zero this Wednesday morning.

I received a call from my cousin, Ed Bezdek, 92, of Millbrae, Calif., last night, wishing me happy Valentine's Day. He said it was 50 degrees there.
