Fred and Marguerite Utech and Edna Mueller of rural Tampa accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu Sunday afternoon to Goddard where they visited Delores Siggs and her guests Bill and Grace Raven of Marietta, Ga. Bill and Grace were in Colorado skiing and on their way home, stopped to see sister Delores.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik attended the benefit soup dinner Sunday noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincolnville. The benefit was for Tammy Chizek who spends much of her time in a wheelchair. Mervin and Leona Deines also attended the dinner.

Bob and Irma Reznicek picked up Carol Makovec Friday night. They attended Mass of Stations at St. John Nep. Church. After Mass they visited at the home of Carol and Bob Makovec.

Larry Rudolph was here Thursday afternoon to take a large bale to Joyce Rohloff's horses and a large bale to my cattle. He had been visiting Jess and Rita Brunner of rural Tampa.

Friday overnight and Saturday guest of Alex and Jean Stuchlik was their daughter, Rita Stuchlik of Wichita.

Irma Reznicek said they planted potatoes, spinach, radishes, and peas on Sunday.

I had just finished planting 26 hills of potatoes when my son, Douglas Strecker of Hesston, Marsha Jarrell and son Matthew of Peabody showed up. Douglas and Matthew cleaned a flower bed and they took some small alfalfa bales from the upstairs of the barn to the lower floor. We all went to Ramona Café in Ramona for supper. After supper, we returned to my home for a chat.

Melissa Stuchlik of Lincolnville visited Saturday morning with her in-laws, Alex and Jean Stuchlik and Rita.

Hallie Novak was in charge of World Day of Prayer Friday at Hebron Lutheran Church at Burdick.

Mervin Deines said he was planting seed today (Monday) for CRP ground.

I have been receiving a number of seed catalogs. I think I'll order some plants and seeds. My late grandmother, Mary Benda, said the time to plant a garden was when the night temperature is above freezing.
