John and Helen Reznicek picked up Irma Reznicek from St. Luke Living Center May 26 and went to Lost Springs to Al's Café where there was a family get-together to celebrate Irma's birthday. Others who attended were Bob and Carol Makovec, Nicole and Alison Klug, Darren and Amy Makovec, Ellie and Shelby, Mark Makovec and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Taylor and Madison, Jennifer Makovec, Mike and Angie Stika, Macayla, Alex, Miranda, and Aaron, Jason and Shelly Stika and Dalton, Justin Makovec, Jenny and Addison, Ryan Makovec, Jeremy Loewen, Charles and Mary Loewen, John and Lori Torline, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew, and Bob Reznicek. They had a light lunch and cake and ice cream.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to Heath Tajchman and Emma Parli's wedding May 26 at the Pilsen Catholic church. They also attended the reception, dinner, and dance at the Pilsen Community Center.

Evelyn Strecker accompanied Reign and Marlene Anduss to the home of Douglas and Marsha Strecker of Hesston May 24. Additional supper guests were Charlene Sullivan of Peabody, Matthew Jarrell of Hesston, Connie Baker of Arlington, Roxanne Topping and granddaughter, Candice Jolly of Newton. After supper, all of us went to the Hesston Middle School eighth grade promotion ceremony. Matthew Jarrell was one of 74 graduates. After the promotion we returned to the Douglas Strecker home for a light lunch and Matthew opened his gifts.

Ida Benda of Madera, Calif., and son, Scott Benda of Idaho came May 25 to visit me. We went to Al's Café to eat supper.

Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Salina May 27 to attend the baptism of their new grandson, Landon William Albrecht during services at Trinity Lutheran Church. Sponsors were Jeff and Jennifer Braden of Windom and Linda Jones of Herington. Landon William is the son of Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Salina. After the services, Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Kellie, Morgan, and Landon, Fred and Marguerite Utech, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Bernadine Albrecht, Linda James, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, Jaxxon, and Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua went out for lunch. Later they went to the Neil Albrecht home for cake and ice cream.

Wayne Schwartzman of Park City visited his aunt Evelyn Strecker May 27.

Ross Stuchlik of Tampa visited his grandma last week and mowed her lawn.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu attended Memorial Day services Monday at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona, and the community dinner at Ramona City Park.

Ruby Scharping of Wichita came Sunday afternoon to be with her mother, Frances Stuchlik. She was an overnight guest. On Monday Frances accompanied Ruby to Newton Medical Center to visit Larry Stuchlik, who is ill. Frances went home with Ruby Monday night and they attended the rosary and funeral for Mike Aaron, Frances' brother-in-law, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Andover. Ramona Beisel of Tampa and Alva Holub of Lincolnville accompanied Monty and Sarah Stuchlik to the funeral. Afterward, Frances came home with Monty and Sarah.

Bill and Janet Lynn Novak of San Antonio, Texas, arrived at the home of Bill and Dollye Novak Sunday. They are spending several days with them and other relatives. Son Bill helped his mother with the Memorial Day service at Lost Springs Cemetery.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik drove to Newton Sunday where they attended the wedding reception in honor of Clint and Kelly Simon at Fox Ridge Golf Course. Clint and Kelly Simon were married in January in the Virgin Islands.

Frances Stuchlik accompanied Monty and Sarah Stuchlik to Pilsen May 26 where they attended the Tajchman-Parli wedding, reception, dinner, and dance.
