Alex and Jean Stuchlik attended the wedding Saturday of her nephew, Adam Thompson and Jill Zimmerman at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wellington. They also went to the reception, dinner, and dance.

Douglas Strecker, Hesston, was my dinner guest Wednesday. He did some sorting out of bales in the barn, spraying, and helping me pick pears off the tree. Douglas came Saturday to turn over the alfalfa hay and was my dinner guest. On Sunday Larry Rudolph baled half of the hay. Douglas, Darren, and Trent Hajek helped to pick up the bales and elevate them into the barn. Douglas and Larry were my supper guests.

Darren Makovec helped Bob Reznicek Aug. 9 unload some hay bales and was a supper guest of Irma and Bob.

Trent Hajek and other football players of Centre High School have been and still are practicing football from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Centre elementary and high school starts Thursday.

Darren Hajek, Salina, spent the weekend with his parents, Ronnie and Leona Hajek and brother, Trent.

John and Helen Reznicek, Marion, camped at Marion Reservoir. Saturday evening they hosted a cookout. Guests were Bob and Carol Makovec and grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Heitfield of Herington, and Bob and Irma Reznicek.

Larry Rudolph attended the funeral and rosary of Leon Hajek Wednesday morning at St. John Nep. Catholic Church at Pilsen and internment at Pilsen Cemetery.

We wish to extend our sympathy to Emma Klenda's relatives. At one time Emma was quite active as a member of Ramona Senior Center.

I am so proud of my neighbor, Allie Will, who received grand champion for her calf at the Marion County Fair.

Becky Jackson and Nikki Stenzel went to McPherson Aug. 9 where they went shopping and ate dinner out.

Gregory Stenzel, his daughter Nikki, and Becky Jackson attended the Abilene Fair Aug. 9. On Saturday, Gregory and Nikki ate supper with Betty Stenzel.

Betty Stenzel and her granddaughter, Nikki, will host a birthday supper Thursday for Becky Jackson whose birthday was Tuesday and for Gregory Stenzel whose birthday is Thursday.

I have been busy canning pears, tomatoes, and cucumbers of my own this past week. My son Douglas brought me a large sack of apples from his tree.
