Connie Jenkins visited Aug. 14 with Karen Walsh. Happy birthday, Karen.

My niece, Geraldine Noonan of Dallas, Texas, was my guest Aug. 8 for dinner at Al's Café. After dinner we went to Marion and visited my brother, Emil Pospisil at Golden Living Center. I also visited Maurice Stroda. Had a nice visit with both of them. Geraldine visited Martha Melcher at Tampa later in the afternoon.

Irma Benda served cookies Aug. 11 at St. Luke Living Center while Gene Vinduska played polka music. Irma Reznicek, Mildred Hajek, and Barbara (Albina) Libal were some of the residents enjoying the cookies and music. Barbara Libal, as she likes to be called, said, "I sure like that polka music."

I see the school buses going by again. School began Thursday.

I received a letter from my sister, Victoria Zell of Shelby, Mont. It is hot there, too. She will have six grandchildren going to college this fall. She reminded me the Pospisil, Bezdek, Benda reunion will be held in Washington state but does not mention when and where.

She took Irma back to St. Luke Living Center where Bob Reznicek, Tom and Janet Reznicek and Levi visited her till noon. They met John and Helen Reznicek and Charles and Mary Loewen at Country Lakes Café for lunch.
