Adella Katz hosted a birthday party in honor of Tia Jenkins' 11th birthday Sunday. Guests were Larry and Connie Jenkins and Oaklan, Charles and Lori Smithhart, Steve Katz, Selma Ingram, and friends, Courtney and Kathryn.

Shane McElroy and three friends of El Dorado were hunting doves at Larry Rudolph's farm this weekend.

Clark Strecker and Tailor of Rose Hill were my Sept. 2 dinner guests. Clark mowed my lawn.

Ray and Connie Hastings of El Dorado were Sept. 2 visitors of Mike and Karen Walsh and Renae.

Wayne Schwartzman of Park City visited his aunt, Evelyn Strecker Sept. 2. He was doing some painting at his farm during the weekend.

Bob Reznicek took his mother, Irma Reznicek to Mass at St. John Nep. Church and then had lunch at The Big Scoop.

Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Kallie, Morgan, and Landon of Salina were Sept. 2 supper and overnight guests of Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu. They stayed overnight. On Labor Day, they all went to Burdick for the festivities. That evening, Fred and Marguerite Utech, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxon of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, and the Albrechts were guests of Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu for grilled hamburgers.

Larry Rudolph was a dinner and supper guest of Mike and Karen Walsh and Renae on Labor Day.

Don and Barbara Cheever and Leah Cheever of Salina visited Evelyn Strecker on Labor Day. They went to Herington to visit Gerald and Shirley Dix.

Adella Katz and Selma Ingram accompanied Jim and Linda Green and daughter to Herington Lake for a Labor Day barbecue supper.

Ronnie and Leona Hajek, Brett and Darren Hajek, Jennifer Mellie, Ryan and Letia, and Trent Hajek helped at the Marion County Firefighters fund-raiser at the lake. Brett and Darren Hajek, Jennifer Mellie, Ryan, and Letia, and Trent Hajek attended the Burdick Labor Day festivities.

Monty and Ross Stuchlik took my calves to Herington sale barn Sept. 5.
