Those attending graveside services Sept. 13 for Ida Benda at Pilsen Cemetery were Marcel and Irma Benda, William Benda, Mary Lou Kroupa, Magdalen Dvorak, Ida Svitak of Pilsen, Scott and Susan Benda of Eagle, Idaho, and other relatives and friends. Ida was 85 years old. She and her husband once lived near Lincolnville.

Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were Sept. 15 guests of their grandmother, Selma Ingram. Selma baby-sssat for her granddaughters that same day while their parents, Larry and Connie Jenkins were Hillsboro helping Charles and Lori Smithhart with their yard sale during the arts and crafts festival.

Mary Fund Reznicek and son Evan of Golf visited Sept. 18 with Irma Reznicek at St. Luke Living Center.

Larry Rudolph went to the rosary for Leonard Klenda Sept. 18 at Pilsen.

Carol Makovec picked up her mother, Irma Reznicek Sept. 13 and they attended the memorial mass at Pilsen Catholic church for Joseph John Meysing. They went to the inurnment at Pilsen Cemetery. After having rolls and coffee in the basement of the church, they attended graveside services for Ida Benda. Before Carol took her mother back to the living center, they ate dinner at Marion Pizza Hut.

My son, Douglas Strecker of Hesston, picked me up Sept. 17 and took me to Newton Medical Center and Wichita for my annual checkup. When we returned to my home, he put up a new clothesline for me and lit the pilot light for my kitchen heating stove. It was so cold one day last week. Lucky I had an electric stove.

Joshua and Kyla Allenbach of Moundridge are the proud parents of their first child, a girl, Laken Frances, born at McPherson Memorial Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long. Grandparents are John and Chandra Stuchlik of Lincolnville, Mr. and Mrs. Allenbach of Moundridge, and Steve and wendy Funke of Salina. Frances Stuchlik is her great-grandmother.

John Reznicek of Marion picked up his mother, Irma Reznicek Sept. 16 and they went to Mass at Pilsen Catholic church.

Frances Stuchlik accompanied her daughter, Ramona Beisel of Tampa to McPherson Sept. 15 to visit Kyla Allenbach and see the new baby girl at the hospital. Great-Grandma said Laken Frances is cute.

John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Rowena Olsen, and Bob reznicek had dinner Sept. 17 at The Big Scoop.

Brett Hajek of Newton visited his folks, Ronnie and Leona Hajek over the weekend.

My son, Lowell Strecker of San Antonio, Texas, called me Tuesday evening. He said he feels great at work at the Boerne post office. He had surgery on his neck in July.

Jeff Scharping, Andrew and Bobby of Wichita came Saturday morning to the home of Frances Stuchlik to hunt doves.

Bob Reznicek attended Leonard Klenda's funeral Sept. 19 at Pilsen.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik visited Sept. 16 with their neighbor, Frances Stuchlik.
