Twenty-six who graduated from Centre High School in 1967 gathered Oct. 5 at the Lincolnville Community Building for a social hour. Some rode on the class of 1967 float Oct. 6 in the Octoberfest parade. At noon they ate lunch at the Chipped Cup Café. They also took a tour of Centre High School. They had a catered dinner that evening at the Chipped Cup Café. Among those attending were Tom Reznicek of Lawrence, Gerald and Paulette Holub and Ronnie and Susan Carlson of Lincolnville, Bud and Maureen Peterson and James and Marilyn Peterson of Burdick, Ron and Leona Hajek of Lost Springs, and Douglas and Marsha Strecker of Hesston.

Tom Reznicek of Lawrence visited his mother, Irma Reznicek at St. Luke Living Center the afternoon of Oct. 6 and also visited his brother, Bob on the farm.

Paul and Raelene Hajek went to Buhler Sept. 30 to visit Jon and Lynette McLean and children and to watch Cade play football at Hutchinson. They also celebrated Lynette's birthday. Jason and Carla Hajek, Cooper and Carter of Hugoton also were at the football game and helped Lynette celebrate her birthday.

Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Hillsboro Oct. 6 to watch Jakob and Jorge Hanschu play flag football.

Raelene Hajek went to Buhler Oct. 6 to attend the Octoberfest and watch Cade and Maggie in the parade and celebrate Cade's eighth birthday.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to two birthday parties this past week at the home of Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik. They were Derek's 14th and Zachary's eighth.

Larry Stuchlik was at my house Sunday. He checked the battery and took out my air conditioner from the window.

Paul and Raelene Hajek visited Oct. 7 with their mother, Mildred Hajek at St. Luke Living Center after attending Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church, Marion.

Alex Stuchlik's band played during Octoberfest Oct. 6 at Lincolnville. Maurice Pritz's band also played.

Ruby Scharping of Wichita was a Saturday night and Sunday guest of her mother, Frances Stuchlik. They went to Moundridge Sunday afternoon to visit Josh and Kyla Allenbach and Lakyn. En route to Frances' home, they stopped to visit Larry and Susan Stuchlik near Lehigh. That evening Jeff Scharping, Andrew and Bobby came to Frances' place to do some hunting. Ruby, Jeff, Andrew, and Bobby were Frances' supper guests before returning to their homes in Wichita.

Alex Stuchlik told me he dug six hills of sweet potatoes and got a bushel of potatoes. Some weighed two and a half pounds. I've already eaten the few of mine. I picked some ripe tomatoes yesterday.

Candee Toade of Wichita was named State of Kansas Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. She teaches at Wichita Heights and is the daughter of Monty and Sarah Stuchlik of Lost Springs and the wife of Mike Toade.

Micky Black of Herington visited uncle, Larry Rudolph Saturday evening.

Monty and Sarah Stuchlik, Ross Stuchlik, and Dan Stuchlik visited with Frances Stuchlik during the week.

Ken Novak of Tampa picked up Bill Novak Oct. 6 and went to Burdick to attend the Legion tour at the post home.

Travis Novak of Mankato spent the weekend with Bill and Dollye Novak. They took him to Tescott Monday evening where White Rock Grizzly junior varsity team from Mankato played football against Tescott. The Mankato team won, 20-18. Travis plays on the White Rock team.

Bob and Hallie Novak attended the Kansas State vs. KU football game Oct. 6.

Christopher and Melissa Stuchlik hosted a birthday party Sept. 27 for their son, Quenton, who was eight years old. Guests were Alex and Jean Stuchlik, Walter and Iona Dietrich of Tampa, Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik and family, brothers, and friends.

Jaxxon Hanschu of Hillsboro spent Sept. 28-29 with grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Micky Black of Herington visited his uncle, Larry Rudolph Sept. 30.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to Chanute Sept. 29 where Jean attended her class reunion at the VFW.

Clark Strecker of Hesston was my Sept. 29 dinner and supper guest. We did some shopping in Herington in the afternoon.

Kenny and Melinda Stuchlik and Patrick of Towanda stopped Sept. 29 to see Frances Stuchlik. They were en route to Manhattan to celebrate their son, Jason's birthday. Jason attends Kansas State University.

Bob and Carol Makovec picked up Irma Reznicek Sunday morning and went to Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church, Marion. They took Irma home with them. Bob Reznicek joined them for dinner. Later in the evening, additional guests gathered for a cookout to celebrate Bob Makovec's birthday.

Guests were Darren and Amy Makovec, Ellie and Shelby, Justin Makovec and friend Jennifer and daughter Addison, Ryan Makovec, Randy and Colleen Klug, Alison and Nicole, Mark Makovec, Chanell and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Taylor and Madison, Jennifer Makovec, Paul Forrester and children, Regan and Tatum, and Charles and Mary Loewen.

Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik hosted a birthday party Sept. 30 for their daughter, Amanda's 12th birthday. They had ice cream and cake. Guests were their children, Alex and Jean Stuchlik, and Chris and Melissa Stuchlik and family.

Frances Stuchlik accompanied Sarah Stuchlik to Newton Sept. 30 to attend a baby shower in honor of Nancy Stuchlik. The hostesses, Lynea Stuchlik, Amanda Stuchlik, and Sonya Carrillo, held the shower at the home of Kevin and Sonya Stuchlik. Frances and Nancy received many beautiful gifts.

We received much needed showers Sunday and Tuesday. Only thing I have in my garden are tomatoes. I have a tomato plant that I plan to plant in a bucket or pot and see if I can raise tomatoes late in the fall and maybe winter.

In Lost Springs, Adella Katz and Larry and Connie Jenkins' homes are being remodeled, painted, and new porches. They look nice. A new couple bought the beautiful home in Lost Springs that once was owned by John Fenske.

Larry Rudolph visited his neighbor, Gilbert Smith Tuesday.

Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were Sept. 29 overnight guests of their grandmother, Selma Ingram.
