Another beautiful morning — no rain. I had eight inches this past week. My son, Douglas and Matthew of Peabody came Sunday afternoon to mow my yard. They had to quit around 3:30 because of rain. The grass really grew with all the moisture. The skin cracked on some of my ripe tomatoes because of the rain. I canned seven quarts of pears this past week. They were shaken off the tree due to the severe storm we had a week ago Friday.

Larry Rudolph took my car Thursday to Cardie Oil at Tampa to have it winterized. It needed two new tires and antifreeze.
