Lost Springs: Beisel receives nationwide awards

Frances Stuchlik's grandson, Tim Beisel of Wichita is an RN at DaVita Dialysis Center. Tim received nationwide awards including Outstanding Value Award and Prosperity Award. The patients also voted the Shining Star Award to Tim.

Junior Hanschu picked up his father-in-law, Fred Utech Thursday and they went to Hope to attend the North Central Elevator annual meeting held at the Catholic hall.

Irene Waylan of Miami, Okla., and her mother, Mildred Hajek surprised me Friday evening with a visit. Irene visited her mother and brothers over the weekend.

Weekend guests of Alex and Jean Stuchlik were Diann Enz and her children, Joseph and Natalie of Keller, Texas. Diann and children spent Friday night with her husband Tom's parents, J.B. and Lois Enz of Newton.

Mervin and Leona Deines were at Marion Middle School Saturday morning to watch their granddaughter, McKenzie Deines play basketball, McKenzie, daughter of Terry and Julie Deines, attends Centre Elementary School.

Jennifer Braden of Windom brought her son, Joshua Friday to spend the night with his grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Neil and Jolene Albrecht of Salina hosted a fifth birthday party Saturday afternoon for their daughter, Kelly. Guests were her sister Morgan, Fred and Marguerite Utech, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxon of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, Garland and Diana Utech and Amy of Amsterdam, Mo., and friends. After they played games, supper was served. Kelly opened her gifts and then she lighted candles on the KSU cheerleader cake. Ice cream was served with the cake. They also celebrated Fred Utech's 83rd birthday.

Mervin and Leona Deines went Saturday afternoon to Manhattan to attend the girls' KSU and Baylor basketball game.

Clark Strecker of Rose Hill spent Monday with me. In the morning he did some work. After dinner we went to Herington where I had a six-month checkup. He returned home that evening.

Marcel Tajchman of McPherson spent Tuesday with Alex Stuchlik. He had supper with Alex and Jean before going home.

Frances Stuchlik was a Sunday dinner guests of Don and Ramona Beisel of Tampa. After dinner, Ramona took her mother to Salina.

Junior Hanschu went Sunday afternoon to Hillsboro to bowl on his son, Jayson's Big Brothers Big Sisters bowling team. Junior said they bowled average.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu and Mervin and Leona Deines went Sunday evening to Trinity Lutheran Church's pancake and sausage supper at Ramona.

Larry Rudolph helped Charles Heiser Monday afternoon with some cattle and other work.
