Lost Springs: Dollye Novak enjoys vacation in Cancun

Dollye Novak left Feb. 4 for Oklahoma City, Okla., to visit overnight with Mike and Nancy Neid. Nancy and Dollye flew Sunday to Cancun, Mexico. They spent five days at Riviera Maya sunbathing, shopping, and sightseeing. Dollye returned home Friday.
John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Bob and Carol Makovec, Charlie and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro and Irma and Bob Reznicek ate supper Thursday at Al's Café to celebrate Mary's birthday.
A benefit and auction was held Saturday evening at Burdick United Methodist Church for Linda Peterson. Those who attended from this area were Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Alex and Jean Stuchlik, and Mervin and Leona Deines.
Larry Rudolph visited Saturday evening with Mike and Karen Walsh and daughter, Renee.
Clark Strecker of Rose Hill visited Monday afternoon with his mother, Evelyn Strecker.
Mervin Deines and sons, Jeff and Terry attended John Deere Day Wednesday at Marion.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to the dance Sunday afternoon at Pilsen Community Hall. Gene Vinduska Band played polka music. Irma Reznicek and Bob also attended.
Oakland and Tia Jenkins visited their grandma, Selma Ingram Sunday while their parents, Larry and Connie Jenkins went to the gun show at Herington Community Building.
I see pigeons flying in my barn. Evidently they are preparing themselves a place to stay during the cold wintry weather for the next few days.
Clayton Southers visited Sunday afternoon with Larry Rudolph.
Kenneth and Melinda Stuchlik of Towanda visited Saturday with their mother, Frances Stuchlik.
Mervin and Leona Deines and granddaughter, McKenzie Deines went Saturday to the Tri-County Junior High Basketball League tournament at Hope. Centre girls' junior high basketball team won first. Shelby Deines, a granddaughter of Mervin and Leona and daughter of Jeff and Gayla Deines is on the Centre team.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik visited Saturday night with Frances Stuchlik.
Frances Hanschu told me her husband, Clinton will be 84 years old Feb. 15. She plans to spend the day with him.
