Dec. 8-14

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu drove down Main Street in Ramona Saturday to see the nativity scene. They went Sunday afternoon to Herington to join others in the pilgrimage of the nativity scenes downtown.

Alex Stuchlik has been making round cattle feeders. He was working on the third one and has one more to make.

Wayne and Marita Schwartzman, Park City, visited Sunday afternoon with me. They were at Marion Manor visiting Uncle Emil Pospisil.

Dr. Bob Novak and other Tampa American Legion members met Dec. 10 with department legion members and Fourth District Legion members on ALVA Tour at the Legion post home at Tampa.

Bill Barrett of Herington visited Monday morning with Larry Rudolph.

Krystine Lusk, American Legion Auxiliary secretary at Topeka called me Monday to invite our Lost Springs American Legion Auxiliary members to the department convention May 19-21 at Great Bend. She also thanked me for all our auxiliary is doing for the veterans of Kansas and the nation.

Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu Monday to Salina to attend the Angel Academy Preschool Christmas program. Their grandchild, Kelly Albrecht was in the program.

Nancy Reid of Oklahoma City, Okla., visited Dec. 9-11 with her folks, Bill and Dollye Novak. She came to attend her brother and wife, Jim and Tina Novak's, open house Saturday at Kingfisher Steakhouse & Lounge.

Irma Reznicek said she was busy mailing out Christmas cards. Luckily I didn't mail out some of my cards as the addresses have changed. I did get my silver Christmas tree up and decorated and some decorations in and out of the house.

I received a card from my cousin Barbara and Ken Getch of Pace, Fla. She is the daughter of Joan (Benda) Black. She mentioned in her card that her brother, Sgt. Michael Black of Jacksonville, N.C., just returned from Iraq. He is in the Marine Corps. I also have a grandnephew, Emiliano Zell who also arrived from Iraq a few days ago. They liked it in Iraq.
