Lost Springs: Stuchlik enjoys visit with son

Mark Stuchlik of Edmond, Okla., visited Thursday through Saturday morning with his mother, Frances Stuchlik.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu went Sunday to the Cow Camp Ranch cow and bull sale and dinner.

Larry Rudolph attended the wedding of Melissa Brunner, daughter of Jess and Rita Brunner of Tampa and Phillip Florey Saturday at the Tampa Catholic church. He also attended the reception and dance at Herington Community Building. Theresa Tajchman also was an attendee.

Irma Benda led bingo games Friday afternoon at St. Luke Living Center.

Junior Hanschu picked up his father-in-law, Fred Utech Monday evening and they went to Marion to attend the annual steak supper at Marion City Auditorium.

Larry Rudolph visited Sunday afternoon with his sister, Mary Helen Black and son, Micky of Herington.

Alex Stuchlik played accordion Monday afternoon at St. Luke Living Center. They didn't want him to stop playing. He played old songs like "Old Black Joe" and "Long, Long Ago."

Hallie Novak is having a "come and go" open house at their home Sunday in honor of her husband, Dr. Robert Novak, who has been a veterinarian for 50 years.

Mervin and Leona Deines drove to Hope Monday night to watch the junior high boys' and girls' basketball games. They played Centre Junior High boys' and girls' teams. Adam Coup, their grandson, played on the Hope boys' team and their granddaughter, Shelby Deines, played for Centre girls' team. Centre won both games.

Jeff Scharping of Wichita drove Saturday morning to pick up Grandma Frances Stuchlik and took her to daughter, Ruby Scharping. Ruby had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner Sunday.

Charles and Mary Loewen hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner Sunday noon. Guests were John and Helen Reznicek of Marion; Bob and Carol Makovec, Darren and Amy Makovec, Ellie, and Shelby, Randy and Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison, all of Herington; Justin Makovec and friend, Ryan Makovec, Jennifer Makovec and friend, Paul Forrester and daughters, Regan and Tatum of Salina; Mike and Angie Stika, Macayla, Alex, Miranda, and Aaron and Jason Stika and Shelley, Cody and Dalton, all of Lincolnville; Ed Reznicek, daughter Ella, and son Evan of Golf; Kenneth and Debbie Reznicek, Sara, Kary, Nathan, and Nicholas of Burlington; Jeremy and Dionne Loewen of Manhattan; John and Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew of Derby; and Irma and Bob Reznicek.

Bill and Dollye Novak renewed their vows in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at Hebron Lutheran Church with the family present.

Frances Stuchlik visited Saturday evening with Brian and Jon Scharping and family at Wichita while she was a guest of her daughter, Ruby Scharping from Saturday to Monday evening. She came home with Dan Stuchlik.

Jason Stika and Shelly and son Dalton of Lincolnville hosted a birthday party Saturday night for Cody Oswald. Irma and Bob Reznicek joined other friends and relatives as guests of the party.

Bob Makovec accompanied Bob Reznicek to Marion Monday night to attend the steak supper.
