Louis C. Stika Sr.

Louis C. Stika Sr., 89, of Marion, died April 10, 2005, at Via Christi-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Born June 21, 1915, at Pilsen, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stika.

A lifetime resident of the area, he was a farmer and member of St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen.

On May 26, 1941, he married Tillie Kroupa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ernie; daughter, Rose Marie Hayen; three brothers, Joseph, Martin, and Mike; and five sisters, Mary Holub, Ludmilla Oborny, Elsie Oborny, Anna Stika, and Betty Vlk.

Survivors include his wife, Tillie; two daughters, Arlene Stika of Marion and Betty Augustine of Hesston; and one grandchild.

Kathleen Oborny will lead the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Pilsen.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Pilsen, with Father Steve Gronert as celebrant.

Burial will be in Pilsen Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Catholic Workman or Father Kapaun Committee/Guild.
