Lucille Pinkston

Lucille Pinkston, 84, formerly of Cedar Point, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Branson, Mo.

Born Jan. 1, 1921, at Wichita, she was the daughter of Charles and Cora (Kelly) Carrier.

On March 26, 1940, she married Alfred "Chub" Pinkston at Wichita.

They worked together as farmers/ranchers on their farm near Cedar Point. During many of those years, she was postmaster at Cedar Point Post Office. In 1992, they retired and moved to Branson, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Charles Carrier; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Al of Branson, Mo.; two sons, Gary Pinkston of Belvedere, Calif., and Thomas Pinkston of Branson, Mo.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Cedar Point Community Church with the Rev. George Lespagnard officiating.

Burial was in Cedar Point Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
