Margaret Watchcoske
Margaret "Marge" Watchcoske, 96, died Jan. 30, 2006, at Legacy Park, Peabody.
Born Aug. 7, 1910, at Emporia, she was the daughter of Thomas and Annie (Nord) Davis.
She met her husband, Edward in Wichita, where he was a chef and she a waitress at the Broadview Hotel. They were married in 1937.
They moved to Peabody where they operated a café and farmed.
In 1970, they moved to Florence. After Edward died in 1976, she continued to live in Florence and worked at Dale's Drug Store and Graham Appliance.
Upon retiring in 1985, she moved to Carriage Manor Apartments where she lived until 2004, moving to Legacy Park at Peabody.
Survivors include two nieces, Rosie Young of Tulsa, Okla., and Loraine Thompson of Hutchinson.
Funeral services were held Friday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Florence, with the Rev. Bethann Black officiating.
Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.
Memorial funds have been established with the Florence library or Florence United Methodist Church.
