Mariah Chestnut

Mariah Lee (Jantz) Chestnut, 28, of Wichita, died Sept. 30, 2004.

A graduate of Marion High School class of 1994, she worked at Carlsons' Grocery and Main Street Flowers while in high school.

She spent a year at Emporia State University before moving to Wichita, where she met and married her husband, Brian Chestnut, Sept. 17, 2000.

She worked as a vet technician at Pet Haven and as a floral designer.

She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, and aunt, and had a special place in her heart for her pets, Molly, Abby, Pepper, T.J., and Zipper.

Survivors include her husband, Brian; father, Michael Jantz of Arkansas City; mother, Julie Jantz of Florence; brother, Tyler Jantz of Marion; stepsister, Jennifer Ferry of Wichita; grandmother, Helen Jantz of Marion; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita.

Memorial funds have been established with PALS Animal Rescue and the Wichita Animal Shelter.
