Marijuana and illegal drugs seized

At 10:02 p.m. Oct. 31, individuals were involved in a verbal dispute at Lincolnville. While sorting out the domestic dispute, deputies saw marijuana in plain view. Sergeant Jeff Soyez and Deputy Mike Vineski obtained written consent from the owner to search the residence. During the search 144 grams of marijuana, valued at $100; two marijuana plants, $10; drug paraphernalia, $50; and illegal prescription drugs, $1,713.75, were seized.

At approximately 1:34 a.m. Dec. 3, an unknown individual forced open the front door of Main Street Café, 517 Douglas, Durham, reports Deputy Larry Starkey. Coins, valued at $30 were removed as was the cash drawer. The drawer has been recovered.

Sometime between 8:45 p.m. Nov. 18 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 19, unknown individual damaged and destroyed an electrical meter mounted on a light pole. Located at 3403 Falcon, Durham, the meter is property of Flint Hills RECA, Council Grove, reports Deputy Rollin Schmidt.

At 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30, a victim was struck by a suspect. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Ashley Drive, Marion, reported Marion Police Officer Howard Kahler. The suspect was charged with domestic battery.
