Marion FCCLA members attend leadership academy

Five members of Marion High School FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Chapter attended fall leadership academy for District G of Kansas Oct. 27 at Smoky Valley High School.

The theme was "Travel Through the Decades with FCCLA." Glen Suppes, superintendent of Smoky Valley High School gave the keynote address.

Several workshops were presented including TASK by Becky Tuttle, Ken Graber spoke about mental illness, and Yolanda Mulhern spoke about adoption.

Those attending from Marion were Stephanie Jacobson, Kendra Holub, Becky Hager, Kacey Evans, and Nikki Johnson. Guests were superintendent Lee Leiker and principal Ken Arnhold.

Chapter member Jessica Bernhardt also attended and was one of the five District G officers in charge of the academy.
