LETTERS:   Marion is full of good things years ago

To the Editor:

I would like to say that we are so proud to have a hospital of this category in Marion.

Dr. Hodson has been a great doctor for us. Karen Wheeler has been a welcome addition. The lab, nurses, and everyone from top to bottom always are so caring. We will miss Dr. Hall, too. If I have my choice — and we have been in the "big hospitals" — I hope our "problems" can always be taken care of here.

I also would like to say Marion Pharmacy is a great place. I have checked prices, too — and they are right on the ball!

I also would like to say a big thanks to those who put "our flag" out. We do have our troops fighting for our freedom. As long as we have a war going on and for all the other brave men and women who have fought to keep our country free, an American flag seems to say "thank you."

We have a great newspaper and schools, too.

Last but not least, it would be nice if people who have dogs would do more than put them out in a fenced yard or chain them up.

If that's all a dog means to you, it's a shame. The barking sometimes is terrible — but it's even worse to see dogs locked up and the owners having no respect for others or the loud barking!

Shop Marion and don't forget our doctors and hospital and your neighbors.
