Marion swimmers compete at league
There was no way of knowing what place the Marion swim team received Saturday at the league meet at Lindsborg, thanks to the rain.
The event did not begin until 11:30 a.m., and some swimmers from each team had left because of the cold and inclement weather.
Marion head coach Rod Garman did say his squad had 107 best times during the meet.
"That was our ultimate goal," Garman said.
Marion had 44 top-three finishes out of 76 meet events, and won 10 event championships.
Medals were handed out to the top-three finishers in each event, and ribbons to fourth through 10th place.
The meet was the final one of the season.
