Mary Jo Cauthorn
Mary Jo Cauthorn, 88, formerly of Elmdale, died Feb. 18, 2007, at Arlington, Texas.
Born Nov. 14, 1918, at Mexico, Mo., she was the daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Vaughn) Wilson.
On June 17, 1945, she married James Cauthorn at Mexico, Mo. He died in 1993.
She taught school in Missouri, Elmdale, Strong City, and Cottonwood Falls, before retiring in 1986.
Survivors include three daughters, Jane Cauthorn of Marion, Betsy Cooke of Cornville, Ariz., and Polly Gill of Arlington, Texas; sister, Margaret Hahn of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Charles Wilson of Mexico, Mo.; and three grandsons.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. March 17 at the First Presbyterian Church, Cottonwood Falls, with the Rev. Pat Ireland officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorial funds have been established with the church or with the American Heart Association.
