Mary Lou Greenemeyer

Mary Lou Greenemeyer, 78, Herington, died March 31, 2008, at the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, Salina.

Born Dec. 11, 1929, at Herington, she was the daughter of Melvin and Elizabeth (Downey) Clore.

She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress and cook. She was a member of Herington United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 25, 1947, she married David (Dutch) Greenemeyer Jr., at Marion. He died in 2003.

She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tina Louise Greenemeyer; grandson, Clint Trego; and her parents.

Survivors include three sons, Leslie Greenemeyer, Tony Greenemeyer, and Kirk Greenemeyer; daughter, Tracy Trego of Princess Ann, Md.; two brothers, Daniel Clore of Herington and Byron Clore of Andover; sister, Phyllis Slater of Newton; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Herington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Nelson officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.

A memorial service has been established with the Kaye Pogue Hospice of Salina.
