Matz, Morgan wedding

Lindsay Renee Matz and James Paul Morgan III of Wichita were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Aug. 14, 2004, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion. The Rev. Rick Branson officiated during the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Steven and Janet Matz of Lincolnville. The groom's parents are James Paul and Janice Morgan Jr. of Derby.

Musicians were organist Ruth Ann Carlson of rural Lincolnville and soloist Julia Morgan, sister of the groom, from Derby.

Candlelighters were the couple's mothers, Janet Matz and Janice Morgan.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless tulle over satin A-line white gown with a beaded flower lace bodice, scalloped hem, and buttons down the back. The chapel-length train had beaded flower lace trim. She carried cascading white and yellow silk daisies, lilacs, and ivy.

Stephanie Goossen of Newton was the maid of honor. She wore a light blue floor-length dress with a scoop neckline accented at the waistline by a light blue ribbon and bow.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Glynn and Carly Hawthorne, both of Hays, Sasha Larson of Abilene and Julia Morgan, sister of the groom, of Derby. They alternated between yellow and lilac floor-length dresses with scoop necklines. A yellow or lilac ribbon accented the waistline on the respective dress. Their bouquets were round mixtures of light blue, yellow, and lilac daisies, lilacs, and ivy.

The best man was William Jones of Derby. Groomsmen were Patrick Burnett of Hays, Shaun Linenberger of Wichita, Andrew Matz of Emporia, brother of the bride, and John Morgan of Derby, brother of the groom.

Flower girls were Anna Marie Radachy of Euchlid, Ohio, cousin of the groom, and Maggie Matz of rural Lincolnville, cousin of the bride.

Ring bearer was Thatcher Whalen of Colorado Springs, Colo., cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Adam Matz of rural Lincolnville, brother of the bride, and David Whalen of Derby, cousin of the groom.

Guest book and gift attendants were Aimee Goosen of Guthrie, Okla., and Sarah Goodin of Manhattan.

A reception was held at the Best Western of Wichita North/Park City. Reception attendants were the couple's aunts, Judy Murphy of Chapman, Paulette Larson of Gilbert, Ariz., and Sharon Matz of rural Lincolnville, Jill Flory of Liberty, Mo., Denise Morgan of Corning, N.Y., Diane Radachy of Euclid, Ohio, Kathy Huffman of St. Albens, W.V., Jean Naka of Fairfax, Va., and Sherry Morgan of Marietta, Ga.

Following a honeymoon to Las Vegas, Neb., the couple resides in west Wichita.

The bride is a graduate of Centre High School in Lost Springs and Fort Hays State University, where she earned a bachelor of science in information networking and telecommunications degree with an emphasis in media studies. She is employed with Clear Channel Radio in Wichita as an account executive with Kissin' Country 102.1

The groom, a graduate of Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, also is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor of business administration in marketing degree. He is employed with Edward Jones Investments as an investment representative.
