Max Merrills observe 50th anniversary years ago
Max and Pat Merrill of Lenexa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 12 with a dinner at the Carriage Club in Kansas City.
The dinner was hosted by their children, Mitch and Tonya Merrill of Sioux City, Iowa, and Sarah and Tom Hickey of Overland Park.
A brunch was held June 13 at the Overland Park home of their daughter.
The couple was married June 13, 1954, at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion.
Guests included Bud and Lavonne Hannaford of Marion, Bob and Ilene Reinke of Wichita, Carolynn Merrill White of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Mike and Julie Wafer of Denver.
