MHS forensics team competes at state

Legg is state champion

Marion High School had 12 forensics students compete at state May 3, and as a team they took 10th out of 42, with only six students participating in the champs portion of the tournament.

Senior Cassy Legg left the tournament as 3A state champion in poetry.

Brett Billings took third in the same category, and Brady Hudson finished second in prose.

Legg also earned a third-place finish in informative speech.

All students who qualified for state received a I rating. Others competing included: Brooke Johnson, Amber Ratzloff, Zach Helmstead, Erika Riggs, Landon Leiker, Tristen Snelling, Kayla Williams, Emily Hett, and Roxann Ross.
