MHS students to display artwork in Salina
Six students with seven pieces of art were chosen to have their work displayed in Salina this month.
Seniors Russell Ploutz and Misti Richmond, and juniors Katie Hett, Chelsea Cornwell, Laura Holt, and Morgan Cady were selected by the Salina Art Center as winners in the Gerry Neustrom Young Artist Challenge.
Holt has two entries in the display, giving MHS a school record seven entries chosen.
Holt's photograph "Traditional oatmeal," will be on display at the Salina Art Center. The other six works will be on display at the Salina Central Mall.
The exhibition began Sunday and will run through April 23. A reception and awards presentation will conclude the exhibition.
The display in the mall can be seen Wednesday through Saturday from 1-6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
Holt's photograph can be seen at the art center Wednesday through Saturday from noon-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
