Michael D. Knak
Michael D. Knak, 58, of Hillsboro, died March 26, 2007.
Born Nov. 3, 1948, at Hillsboro, he was the son of Eldon and Hilda (Funk) Knak.
He was a contract inspector for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
On May 29, 1976, he married JoAnn Hall at Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn of Hillsboro; three sons, Gary and Angie Slater of Hillsboro, Alan Slater of Arkansas City, and Mark and Cindy Slater of Florence; daughter, Lisa Platt of Salina; five brothers, Ronnie, Glenn, Don, Larry, and Roger Knak; sister, Clarice Warkentin; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 7 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Nancy Douglas officiating.
Memorial funds have been established with the Shriners Children's Hospital or Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
